Isn’t that why they wrote it that way? Give the character revenge in an in-joke way?

Yep, Pesci has killed frank vincent twice IIRC so was due a bit of payback and what better way that batts with a bat

I went to see this tonight. I thought it was excellent. Great performances all round. It depicted the smoky folk clubs of 1960’s new york really well. Ed Norton man of the match.

The Usual Suspects on TG4 now. A tour de force from Pete Poselthwaite as Kobyashi as he reels off their misdemeanours…

A belter of on oldie….

I enjoyed it though it hasn’t aged as well as i thought it would. Gabriel Byrne seems to be a great bloke but he is a poor actor. Spacey and Postlewaite outstanding

Byrne is a bit of a ham in it as is Del Toro when compared to some of his later work.

Pffft

Went to his one man show last year/year before. Solo act on stage, recounts his life. Liked him going in. Walked out halfway through. Hes a blistered knob.

Went to the Robbie Williams movie, Better Man, tonight. Loved it. A solid 4/5.

Just out of The Brutalist. Great first act and intermission was a nice treat as you’d never get to chat to the stranger a row ahead still atein popcorn 2 hours into a film usually. The second act was decent but without spoilering things the last 5 minutes sullied the picture for me.

4 hours is a big commitment and I just don’t think Brutalist warranted it. Guy Pearce is the best in show.

Watched The Nickel Boys yesterday, shot mainly in the first person between the two main characters. A sad enough tale from Jim Crow times and the nickel school seemed to have been a similar enough enterprise to the industrial schools we had here at the same time.

A sad enough ending but worth a watch

Blue Velvet just started on bbc 2. Should get the best Hopper scenes soon

Starting now on BBC4, don’t think I’ve seen it since Mrs. Jones and I saw it in the Nenagh picture hall when it came out. A stone cold masterpiece, by a genius. Elephant Man on later too
