I went to see I’m Still Here this evening. Its about Rubens Paiva a Brazilian Congressman who was disappeared by a military dictatorship in 1970. The film has won a load of awards and justifiably so. It’s excellent.

Watched the old Robert Altman/Tim Robbins movie The Player there tonight. Cracking film as good as it was the first time I saw it. Better maybe.

Great picture.
Saw “Nosferatu” recently - would categorise it as good, but it is undermined by some rubbish casting and an overly flowerly script.
The Martian popped up on my feed earlier and I had to watch it. A belter of a movie

I just watched See How They Run. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Saoirse Ronan and Sam Rockwell are excellwnt.

Had it on in the background, just seemed to be Ronan saying “Sir” with her irritating accent every five seconds.
A brilliant actor. Underused & underrated imho.
I went to see Black Bag with the young lad last night. An espionage thriller with Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender. A whodunnit with Agent, double agents, bluffs and double bluffs. Neither of us had a clue what was going on but enjoyed it nonetheless. We both agreed on the way home that Mrs Barnes should have been brought along to explain the plot to us.

I don’t think it was meant to be taken too seriously. I enjoyed it for what it was. Im surprised to see Cate Blanchett in something as frivolous.
