Turd from start to finish IMO.
Watched Part 2 last night. Also a masterpiece but grimmer and more introspective than part 1. More of a portrait of Michael’s descent into evil and the break up of his marriage with a bit of light relief provided by Robert de Niros early exploits as Vito.

the helicopter hit and the deadly cannoli are hilarious scenes
FFC stitched his daughter up like a kipper for that role
I preferred the horseback hit during the parade.
The turn of Micheal when he first arrived with Kay and him smiling to when he sits down with Tom in part 2 is incredible. You gonna come along with these things I have to do

Funny, you see something a little different in these films, everytime you watch them. I always felt no, but then its open to conjecture aint it

he went fishing with al neri after his mother died. michael said fredo was safe as long as his mother was alive. he knew what was coming and he made the excuse of a blessing for the hook to says his last prayer. a beautiful if horrible scene

Like a fine wine, never gets old. What’s not to like, has it all, killer of a soundtrack, brilliant dialogue, great actors, beautifully styled etc etc. Has to be up there when the GOAT discussion takes place on filums. Few equals never bettered.
I watched the night of the fight. Not the most subtle perhaps, but I really really enjoyed it.
