According to the article the Premier League pay most of the money direct to the PFA. That really is a phenomenal salary for someone to be drawing down for a “trade union” role.

Them Union men know how to pay themselves anyway that’s for sure.

I would think when a union is needed is lower down the leagues where money is relatively scarce and there are worries about the next payday . Up the line players and agents are the real power brokers .

I’d compare it to what Dessie Farrell was pulling down, only for the fact that he never disclosed it.
