Disgraceful attitude by the GPA on its stance over the drug cheat Kerry player.
Although and asthmatic drug, it is still a banned substance. A cheat is a cheat (Rio Ferdinand).
Every player at a senior level of most sports are provided with lists of banned substances. In professional soccer Lemsip,Beechams,Day/Night nurse are banned as they contain stimulants deemed to be performance enhancing.
Why should the GPA decide it should be any different??? Why should the rules be bent slightly for GAA players???
It is ironic that since drug testing in the GAA was introduced, the number of asthmatics in the game has rocketed???
The whiter than white GAA is rife with drug cheats and recreational drug users. Whatever happened to the Pigs son, Bonner, who was caught shovelling powder up his trumpet in a car park?? F**k all. It made the paper for the day and that was it, had this been a soccer player, boxer or any other sport we would still be hearing about it now.
The GPA think they can decide to break and bend rules regarding drug cheats.
Are the GPA hiding the fact that GAA bogballers spend their time with permenant colds tinged with the slightest bit of asthma for old times sake???
Ben Johnson, Dwayne Chambers, Linford Christie, Tony Christie, Tony Sheridan,Brian Murphy, Rio Ferdinand, Jaap Stam, Mark Bosnich, Merse, Aidan O’Mahony…the list is endless
