I know. They seemed to be very popular at the time.
30 years ago today one of the greatest Irish albums ever was released
30 years ago today we released this album….
It didn’t sell well, and the story could have ended there.
But somehow, people who loved that album, passed it on to others, and all these years later, it is still alive, still being discovered.
Thank you to everyone who listened & shared their love of this record
It means a lot. ![]()
Why say words that I do not mean
They only serve to amuse, ridicule and destroy,
Hardly ever to teach
I hit you for the first time today
I didn’t mean it
It just happened
You wouldn’t let me go to the phone,
You wanted to make love and I did not
Now I know the distance between us
Christ we weren’t even fighting, I was just annoyed
Silence and you started to cry, that really hurt
You said, yeah and you thought you knew me
A cracking album. The who DC?
Just in time for Samhain, Lankum give us a doom folk techno take on The Specials masterpiece, Ghost Town. This is brilliant.
This is an absolutely brilliant piece of music.
Help me out here. I can’t get into them.
Lisa is hot and cold but when she is good she is very good. Rock the Machine, All the quiet horses and this one are brilliant songs
I saw her in Limerick last Friday night, she’s a great storyteller though she goes on a bit too long between songs
Her new song ‘the wind doesn’t blow this far right’ is superb as is her version of ‘in the bleak midwinter’
She’s a bit too much of a hippy sometimes, you’d find yourself rolling your eyes ![]()
