The Sky model on certain shows needs performing clowns like Merson , Savage etc . I don’t mind Merson btw and thought he was a fabulous player

I remember listening to that live and eagerly awaiting Tv footage. Pearce was a great commentator back then. It’s now immortalized in the opening credits of the Football Cliches podcast, a very whimsical

Alright sort Graham Taylor referring to Ronald Koeman as that “blonde man” afterwards .
The pressure on Taylor there was incredible, there was a riot about to kick off in the De kuip stadium at any minute as well with police dogs condoning off the away end, some great flags on display also on the barded wire
How on earth was Koeman not sent off for the professional foul on Platt (I think it was)?

Erwin Koeman’s tackle on Paul Parker 8 min into the broadcast…this is just after his brother should have gotten the red and before he scored the free kick…the game was boiling there…Moore is brilliant throughout
