The BBC commentator (Steve Wilson?) stayed largely silent after Di Maria’s goal yesterday. I thought that was about the right thing to do in the circumstances.
I have a thing about watching Argentina games on the BBC. They always seem to do better when I watch them on BBC.
I switched over to BBC for the last 20 minutes of the Nigeria game in 2018. Watched the first half against Poland on RTE and the second half on BBC and lo and behold they score inside the first minute. Watched the first half on BBC yesterday, then switched to RTE for the second half and switched back to BBC after Mbappe’s second goal.

Didn’t watch BBC yesterday but think Guy Mowbray is their lead football commentator and Wilson would be second or third in line for a final.
I might be wrong on this.
