Now is the time to push for home
I’d say there’s very few Greyhound fans (myself included) that see the point in continuing to plough money into this charade ahead of Elite International Individual Sport like Athletics, Swimming, Gymnastics and the likes of Rowing as well.
Horse Racing is a different discussion but Greyhound Racing doesn’t need that kind of money

These simplistic either/or arguments amuse me. “I like this thing (at the moment), so take money from the things I don’t like and give it to that”.
Seems reasonable
This should cause an uproar. I could see it bringing down the government
The funds will rise by €4.1m from the €95m given to the two industries in last year’s budget
The money will be split between the two industries in an 80:20 ratio — €79.28m will go to Horse Racing Ireland with €19.82m going to Greyhound Racing Ireland

I’m now in favour of banning jump racing in favour of NH flat races with jumping weights after backing Brandt there.
Also, Twitter man historian John Berry makes Flan Costelloe look like Andre Fabre. Easterbys stopped his own and the niece still couldn’t get by the winner after getting the dream trip through on the paceless aul yak. He needs to ditch the books and do a summer somewhere.
Hope SK gets suitably rewarded for all the promotional work she’s done to improve the image of greyhound racing
