I was watching the racing from Wimbledon, i thought ye were referring to Shelbourne Park action.
What a dog Platinumlancelot is, eleven wins now in a row, he can beat the record with his next run.

Fact. There hasnt been action at a UK track in a long time.
Indeed, tell me why does Charlie Lister fear Mecca so much? Does he not like the boat?
Isn’t it true the “great” Charlie Lister has never won the Irish Greyhound Derby?
Is it two dogs or three dogs that qualify to round three after the round two heats on Thursady and Saturday?
Three dogs go through.
Having watched all of the first round heats the following are the bets i will be doing today on the outright market:
Kerrydale Celt @ 150/1 Ladbrokes
Dalcash Saleman @ 150/1 Paddy Powers
Scholes Fantasy @ 250/1 Betfred
Jackella @ 500/1 Paddy Powers
Alnwick Oscar @ 500/1 Paddy Powers
I also like the look of Shelbourne Aston @ 33/1 generally considering the awful bump he took in his heat and still qualifying with a respectable time.
Slip the lark @ 66/1 with Paddy Powers is also tempting me.
Of course the best dog in the competition looks to be College Causeway but i don’t like his draw in the next round (trap 3) in the same heat as Wise Thought in his preferred trap 6. At 6/1, College Causeway is too short considering the trouble he may yet encounter.
I have decided to include Teflon Tom @ 80/1 with Paddy Powers instead of Dalcash Stateman.
Anyone else care to post up their own selections?
The following are my bets for the Derby, all have been matched on Betfair. I’m thrilled with some of the odds i’ve got, much better than with the bookies. They’re all long-shots but with greyhound racing nearly anything is possible.*
Teflon Tom @ 110/1
Kerrydale Celt @ 190/1
Dalcash Stateman @ 240/1
Scholes Fantasy @ 240/1
Jackella @ 600/1
Alnwick Oscar @ 700/1
*Of course College Causeway could and probably will just blow everything else away.
Is there anywhere to watch the next round of the derby live tonight be it on tv or the internet?
it can be watched live on igb.ie, you just have to bet 5 per race to view any particular race or accumulate bets of 20 to watch the whole nights viewing.
You can also watch it online on ladbrokes.ie only takes one bet of 7.50 to be able to watch the whole nights racing.
Shaneboy Lee just picked up Scolari Me Daddy in the shadow of the line there in a thrilling finish, St Louis Spirit won the previous heat in a blistering 29.38, thats 2 limerick winners in a row now!
Only first two in these heats go through is it?
Just checking the Power’s results page there and it’s only giving first and second in each race.
I had been informed there would be three going through from someone i thought knew what they were talking about…

It’s first three in all heats now all the way to the final, the bookies only payout on1st & 2nd though so thats why they list them
Did Teflon Tom not run at all? If not, would i get my Betfair stake money on him back or would it be lost?
I see Kerrydale Celt finished 3rd in his heat, thereby advancing to the next round.*
*I think.
What a derby this is turning out to be. The scolari dog will improve and would be some story if he could win it for the glamour paws. Great showing by the limerick dogs tonight !!
Were you at it Hangblaa?
Can you confirm if it is indeed the first three dogs in each heat that advcance to the next round?
And what happened to Teflon Tom? He was a cert to win it out…*
*Not.

It’s definitely Top 3 go through.
Stop messing with your avator…
Though that is a good one!

I was trying to figure out something. It’s sorted now.
Scolari Me Daddy gave a brave display tonight for such a youngster. To lead Shaneboy a merry dance all the way to the line was a great effort.
Causeway getting up to win after being fourth at the third bend was worth the admission alone.
Carly Philpott looked well!
