That’s far from a guilty pleasure pal, a smashing tune. The Cardies had some good tunes back in the day.

Nina Persson is 38 now, crawling up to auld birds you’d ride territory. She was a smashing bird in her day. Hasnt been seen much since her collaboration with the Manics.

great guitar work on it.

The Cardigans had a smashing little album called ‘Long Gone Before Daylight’ back around 2003 direction. Definitely a credible band with a hot lead singer.

I remember that before they ‘made it’ they used to be eulogised in the NME. And then they sold out and become million selling popstars.

‘Life’ is a fantastic album and has the added bonus of a smiling Nina on the front cover with a baby blue Santa suit on.

That whole album’s very good. Saw Sharlene on Jools Holland there recently, her hair is terrible, but she still gets it.

The ultimate guilty pleasure - Wannabee, The Spice girls

I remember the first time I saw this video in a flat in Warsaw’s Plac Konstucji, a bunch of hungover young men minding their own business playing cards on a Sunday afternoon when this came on. You could have heard a pin drop.
