Happy birthday Francesco Totti
Francesco Totti, the best player ever to play the game, is by definition better than any other footballer past or present.
I would put Pelé, Maradona, Messi, Beckenbauer, Giles and by KIB lodgic Clinton Morrison ahead of this Totti guy.

and Guissepi Meazza

A great Totti moment, even gets a pat on the back from Maicon,

That’s junior B shit. Where the auld corner back who doesn’t have the legs for it anymore takes it out on a fast young lad.

wtf is runt on about now

if its a junior game i assume its a childrens game so they would all be the same age

bizarre post by a bizarre poster

You’ve never heard of Junior Soccer so you clown?

Nope

badly exposed again

nope

Bizarre logic but in assessing both players you would have to take both their records into account. Robbie Keane is not a poor player as his recent EPL record would suggest. He continued to score international goals during that time and his EPL record prior to his move back to Spurs was very decent. His international goals record stands up to any scrutiny, up there with the likes of Henry. Keane has operated best when being the main man in a side as he has always been at international level and at Wolves, Coventry and Spurs first time around.

Totti’s club record is phenomenal but in assessing him as a player you couldn’t ignore his frankly very average international record. That is what I have pointed out. Many players are better at one level for whatever reason, Keane is a prime example. The greats though thrive at both and both these players fall short of that tag for these reasons.

A great man and a great player and you learn an awful lot about people from reading their thoughts on this thread. Maldini didn’t score that often for Italy either if we’re judging players on goals alone.

Didn’t Totti have the most direct assists at WC 2006. Out of interest I wonder is there anywhere that would have stats with regards how many assists Totti had for Italy.

You do alright. Great post there comparing a defender to a deep lying centre forward. Outdoing your self of late with idiotic posts but carry on

Not a deep lying centre forward.

Assists don’t count though. It’s only international goals and international goals alone that are the sole criterion for assessing Totti apparently.

Right.

I suppose Juan Roman Riquilme is also a flop at international level so, seeing as he played an identical role to Totti and only averaged a goal every 10 games

Sorry but I had to stop reading after the bolded bit above. The post below is the reason why from the “Players who had it but mysteriously lost it thread”.

Maybe when you show some consistency in your ability to debate a point you might let me know. Until then I’m happy to sit back and watch you making a fool of yourself on various threads.

dont apologise for being a moron, watching is what you do best you utter creep of a man. I’m sure you have the anorack and the beady eyes to match aswell.

your point is a bit strange. No one could argue Keane isnt anything but a failure at club level since his move to Liverpool. He certainly has lost it at club level so much so that he has taken to playing in a circus league three years after a 20m move. But he had about over 100 EPL goals by then. I’ve never argued Robbie Keane is a bad player, he clearly is a player of ability as his record at club and international level proves.

I’m hardly arguing Totti is a bad player either. Just his record at international level shows up his flaws. It is diabolical whatever way you look at it.

Riquelme was a fine player at his peak, think you might need to check his wiki stats again you moron Puke - 17 goals in 51 games at international level is about 1 in 3 if my maths is right. A gifted player but a player with flaws too for sure. Only twice in his 10 or more seasons as a player at club level has he broke 10 league goals - 04/05 and 05/06 and he failed at Barca. Unfortunately he only got the chance to play in one World Cup. His stats piss all over Totti’s though.

Rocko, can you move this post to the things that are wrong thread? I don’t even know where to start with it.
