Happy retirement Patrick.
What a guy.
Good guy. Did the state some service
Your man Jean Claude Trichet on Prime time now is a credit to the monetary union.
Delete that post & fuck off with your negative smiley face. This thread is to log Best Wishes to Mr Honohan.
What an absolutely crazy time that was - Honohan had to come out on Radio One and tell us the IMF were in town. Those fuckers Dempsey and Ahern - government ministers at the time - either didn’t know or refused to tell us.
Honohan wasn’t the worst of them but I’d guess he’s leaving with an eye watering pension too.
Don’t think he deserves a thread of his own, the banks are still screwing people left right and centre with their variable mortgage interest rates, while they can borrow money at an all time low. Did you service his car and get an extra 50 cuid for a bag of coke?
I hope he has been well paid and retires with a generous pension for all the hard work he has done
You should have found out what a tracker mortgage was
I’ve been saving Pal, haven’t taken the plunge yet, I’m still renting at the moment.
Renting is dead money, buy now, there has never been a better time
Agreed, we have a decent amount saved now between myself and the mrs. I’m happy were I am renting at the minute and kind of trying to build up the deposit so we have more leeway with the new central bank regulations.

Banks are businesses not charities. They can charge whatever they like if it’s legal.
Incorrect. Yesterday, last week, last month and last year were all better times.
This most infamous clown will never own his own home as he is an indecisive unmotivated loser.

2011 and 2012 were the correct times to buy.
Anyone who did not purchase in that time will end up paying too much to purchase a house, or will pay very high rents.
