Hearts v Celtic - Sunday 2nd October

That was an astonishingly reckless lunge from Majstorovic there in a fairly benign situation.

Majstorovic is a fucking clown.

This is turgid stuff. Need to get McCourt and Stokes on for Commons and Bangura.

Great effort from Commons there. Getting more involved again now.

I think Templeton is a very good player, comfortable on either side and a good dribbler with decent pace.

Utterly depressing route 1 stuff.

That was a decent attacking opportunity there and Forrest needed to make more of it. We’ve struggled to get him into the game regularly - every kickout going long isn’t helping.

Woeful performance. We’re just hoofing every ball straight down the pitch and not winning anything from it. Commons has grown in to the match and now looks our most likely threat, Forster and Mulgrew and Majstorovic have to try and be more industrious on the ball. Bangura has been very poor, Hooper is growing frustrated as well.

I’d get Stokes on for Bangura. I like to see us going with a narrow 3 in midfield with Commons playing off the strikers, when he gets the ball in central areas he looks good, when he gets the ball in wide areas he’s pretty ineffectual. I think today has proven that Forrest and Commons can play in the same system together. We have no natural wide outlet on the left in the entire team, we badly need to address this in January along with the defence and a striker who has the capabilities to play the target-man/lone striker role.

This is strange. For loads of our SPL games this season, I seem to be positive when Totti and Rocko are negative about the display & vice versa. I thought we played pretty well in the first half and I was delighted with Wanyama in particular. I think the chances will keep coming as the game opens up and confident enough that we can score a couple of goals here.

I don’t think that was as bad as Totti believes but there’s certainly plenty of room for improvement.

Doing ok from open play at the back but some silly errors from set pieces and just weird lashing at simple balls instead of dealing with them in a composed manner. Impressed again with Mulgrew and he seems to be leading a bit out there.

Wanyama is playing very well. Ki doing ok too but could do with getting him on the ball more. Forster is kicking everything away aimlessly. If Hooper does win a header he’ll be accused of backing in so we need to engineer ways to pass it out. A few times Mulgrew has found Commons in space in an inside left area and it’s caused them problems.

Need to look at Stokes early enough. Bangura might have scored, should have scored really, but isn’t involved enough in open play. Forrest has been generally bright when he gets it but wasted two good counter-attacking chances. He and Matthews have looked good together I think.

Decent start to this half. I think we’re making the effort to get it down and play which will pay dividends.

The away support.

Still keeping up this good pace in the second half. Very much on top now.

Fuck. Another throw-in where we surrender possession too easily in our half but it was a nothing cross and we didn’t attack the ball in the air or track the run around the outside from Skacel.

Fuck sake.

Fuck you Lennon.

Get McCourt and Stokes on now, not 20 minutes time, now.

Lennon’s position should be untenable if we fall 10 points behind this early in the season.

Forrest and Commons have switched sides. Not normally a fan of Forrest on the left but why not give it 5 minutes I suppose.

Two games against Sion, Udinese, Atletico Madrid, St. Johnstone, Rangers & Hearts.

All games where the Stokes-Hooper partnership has been broken up this season.

Get Lennon’s jotters ready.

Ah fuck that. Poor tackle. Red card is harsh - he just mistimed it, only went with one foot and wasn’t that high.

Surely this will be the end of Lennon.

International break coming up so give him the sack this evening and you’d have plenty of time to find a suitable replacement.

Lambert ???
