Virgil was very good at the back, Pukki and Sammy did well off the bench and Matthews played that advanced role well when he was involved.
Stokes was on another level entirely though. Sublime performance. Involved in the 3 goals, held it up well and his first touch was wonderful. Pukki looks to be a clever player linking up, so he could have a very good partnership with Stokes, similar to Commons and Stokes.

Delightful display. Stokes must be the best player in the European Union. Neil Lennon must manage Celtic for the next 20+ years.
I met my friend from Ancona yesterday after work. He was quite angrily asking me to explain why Stokes doesn’t play for Ireland, as he does feel an affinity with the Irish national team and likes to see them do well. I couldn’t really give him an answer that would satisfy him.
