Surely a la George Graham, you build from the back. The goalkeeping situation is ludicrous. To find yourself neutral about Joe “chuck it in” Harte, just because he’s not barkas or bain says it all. You can’t even assess the potential, competence or otherwise of the back four because they’re playing in front of barkas or bain.
There are surely, surely better keepers even down in the conference who we could pick up for a modest enough fee.

There simply aren’t better keepers than Joe Hart idling around in the conference.

You** wouldn’t actually know. I’ve actually watched a lot of conference soccer. Half of them are semi pro, a touch overweight, and have never had the benefit of a fully professional support team. Jamie Vardy was knocking round the conference for a fair while.
What you wouldn’t know with any greater certainty is whether Joe Harte is at any level at all anymore. He’s barely played.
