Hearts v Celtic ☘

Cup quarter final away at Tynecastle at 1215

Maeda is said to be 50/50 but can’t see him being involved. His effectiveness depends on him being at full fitness. Wonder if we might see Haksababovic get a start. He’s probably earned it and Abada wasn’t great when starting the other night.

Expect we’ll see the return of the regular full backs and Hatate too.

Two smashing goals and a terrific save by Hart in between. Celtic played some lovely football there. Aaron Mooy has delivered a Nissan Irish Classic in that first half.

Mooy and Hatate were brilliant in that half. Could have had a couple more goals but also an outstanding double save from Hart to keep us ahead.

That was very comfortable. The second goal just before half time effectively finished them off. I think they lessened their chances today but trying to go toe to toe at Celtic Park the other night. Celtic were able to move the ball around them and Hearts were flat & leggy. That said, some of the close control and passing in tight spaces by the Celtic midfield was class. Mooy was really good again. Johnston is doing what I expected and seems very suited to the physical side in Scotland. What’s Starfelt’s injury? I missed any discussion on it.

This panel of pundits is excellent. The presenter is very good, and the big tall lad is really excellent. Enjoyed it more than any pundits for a good while.

The big tall lad is Craig Gordon.

The Viaplay/Premier Sports coverage is miles better than Sky and always is.

It is indeed. Didn’t recognise him quite with the beard. He has a lovely way about him. Quiet and interesting.
