Every man, woman and child in Ireland will be out walking this evening to salute our new hero, Rob “Heffo” Heffernan.

We’ll be marching down from Ringsend,
And from Ballyfermot too.

I’m going to walk to the pub at lunchtime to celebrate this wonderful achievement.

I attended the 50km walk in London last year and it was fucking brilliant.

Joking aside, that’s a super achievement after all his disappointments in the last few championships and Olympics. Been following him on Twitter since last summer and hes very much an alright sort :clap:

Ireland only win gold medals in the World Athletics Championships in years in which Dublin win the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.
