Hibs v Celtic

Sky Sports Something at around half 12 or a quarter to one.

As @Bandage mentioned elsewhere we are without Boerrigter and Lustig today as well as longer term absentees Matthews and Mouyokolo. Did Rogic play in Australia or for Australia in Asia during the week? That might restrict his involvement if he did.

I expect something like:

Forster
Ambrose Virgil Mulgrew Izzy
Brown Ledley
Forrest Commons Samaras
Stokes

Pukki could start ahead of any of that front 4. If Lustig is a doubt for Tuesday, or if Lennon feels that Mulgrew and Ledley can’t play in the centre together, then we may see Biton or Rogic for a spell.

Forgot about Kayal. Team is

Forster
Fisher Ambrose Van Dijk Mulgrew
Brown Kayal
Commons Pukki Samaras
Stokes

Bench is Zaluska Forrest Baldé Henderson Ledley Biton Rogic

Correction this is on BT2

Kayal playing with more positional discipline than usual. Might stunt some of his effectiveness but he’ll be more reliable if he holds that centre better.

Great effort by Commons. Fisher is settling down now after a nervy start. Stokes’s early touches, control and lay offs have been spot on. Lots of aggressive tackles by them. Hopefully somebody breaks up Kevin Thomson.

Hibs take the lead. Heffernan was at least 1 yard offside. Shoddy defending by Celtic though - probably Van Dijk most culpable.

Sloppy from Van Dijk there. Way too casual. But fuck me what an obnoxious collaboration between the officials to let that stand. A mile offside and the players weren’t even moving.

Ambrose has headed a couple square to him instead of heading them away. Virgil only just got to the first one. But he did have time this time and should have just cleared it instead of compounding the error.

Great chance for Commons. Nice pass from Virgil and he took it into his stride well. Needed a better finish.

Commons should have drilled that instead of trying the chipped finish. He’s gone off now with a hamstring strain so Forrest will come on.

Laughably poor decision for their goal:

Great chance for Sammy, should be burying that.

And Pukki really should be burying that.

An even better chance there for Pukki after Forrest did well. To be fair to Pukki I think he was right to take the touch but you’d expect him to find a gap then.

Not a dreadful 45. Couple of mistakes at the back but the goal is a direct product of awful officiating. We’ve been better in the second quarter anyway, think Pukki has been decent and we’ve got good possession in their half.

Thought the obvious thing was to put height on it to prevent the defender on the line blocking it with his feet.

Yeah. Chance of a penalty too if you hit an arm. He’s been good though, seems to be linking well with other 3 attackers.

Good effort from Kayal there.

Stokes goes on lose now. Might have squared it to Sammy. Impressive first 5 minutes of this half.

Great chance there but wouldn’t settle for Stokes.
