Hibs v Celtic

Pressure building.

Good game from Mikey.

Yeah it’s not just Bitton’s competence but it diminishes McGregor too when he gets caught between roles.

We already look more dangerous since bringing on Giakoumakis. It’s great to be able to vary things.

Huge save from Hart

Excellent.

Ralston wasn’t sharp enough there with the line. That’s the sort of thing that suggests he’s tiring a bit I think.

This is impressive character from Hibs. They’ve given us a going over here.

Dodgy penalty for the huns

I may have to eat humble pie on Hart. He’s been a steadying influence.

Outrageous decision just when they needed it

That was a terrific first half from Celtic and a very mediocre second half. Wouldn’t be too concerned given the lead we had but I thought we might exert a bit more control with Bitton on and slowing it down if we couldn’t keep getting in behind them but we just sat back and didn’t really try to do anything progressive with the ball and inevitably that just led to us not keeping the ball at all.

But it doesn’t really matter. We were outstanding before the break, we had another good performance from Hart and that’s a very good result at a stadium where we have a very poor recent record.

That’s some scandalous penalty at Ibrox. Who was the mason?

We dug in well there late on after having a really rocky patch for a good 10-15 minutes in the middle of the half. Big save by Hart during that spell.

Thought CCV was very good generally. We could have been 4-0 or 5-0 up after half an hour. The attacking play was sublime in the first half, absolutely superb.

Beaton. A rotten decision. Apparently the first goal was from a dubious free kick too.

Dropped points for the Jambos and Arabs too. We’re up to second now.

One or more two players in during January and we will win the league

CCV has been the big signing, he jas steadied the ship and is aggressive in the air

Huns relying on red cards and penalties these days

In the first 11 games we’ve already played at:

Aberdeen
Hearts
Hibs
and Huns away

as well as our bogey ground in Livingston (plus Motherwell). So 6 away games, including our 5 toughest away fixtures.

Huns have had the reverse fixtures. So they’ve had 5 away games and now have to play Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen and Celtic away in the next 11 games (along with Motherwell and Livingston).
