Ticketless fans were not the reason for so many fatalities. Stop believing everything you read in the Sun, they have a habit of telling porkies to gullible simpletons.
Why were they trying to gain admission without tickets?
Liverpool fans have a history of mass murder in football stadiums.
Few weeks later Liverpool fans were at the same crap in Wembley. Fucking animals.
30 years on and the are still looking for sympathy.
The vast majority of people in Liverpool are unemployed and they couldnât afford to buy a ticket. Itâs a huge dump.
The robbed the dead and pissed on top of them. They donât like hearing that particular fact
They werenât.
They were.
Tory establishment lackey.
After the disaster, allegations emerged from âunnamed sourcesâ - later established to be a Police Federation spokesman and the Sheffield Conservative MP, Irvine Patnick - claiming Liverpool supporters had âdeliberately arrived late determined to force entryâ to the ground.
What we know: While many Liverpool supporters did arrive after 14.30, evidence to the inquests suggested it was actually the police âfailure to control the crowdâ and âinadequateâ turnstiles that led to the fatal crush.
The claim that fans had âdeliberately arrived lateâ formed the basis of the ârock solidâ defence South Yorkshire Police [SYP] sought to present at the 1989 Taylor inquiry into the disaster. The aim was to âdeflect blame on to supportersâ and exonerate the police.
The jury heard from former South Yorkshire Police inspector Clive Davis who recalled being told by former Ch Supt Terry Wain âto put the blame for this disaster where it belongs: on the drunken, ticketless Liverpool fansâ. This was denied in evidence by Mr Wain. However, he admitted a report he prepared had exaggerated claims that âseveral thousandâ spectators had arrived at the ground within minutes of kick-off.
The inquests heard the 10,100 fans with standing tickets for the Leppings Lane end were expected to enter through just seven turnstiles, causing congestion outside the ground.
Lord Justice Taylor, in his 1990 report into the disaster, concluded fans were reasonable to arrive between 14.30 and 14.40 as match tickets only requested people be in their places â15 minutes before the gameâ. He was also satisfied that the large concentration of fans who gathered Leppings Lane at 14.40 to 14.50 âdid not arrive as a result of any concerted planâ.
The timing of this stinks. How long before Boris comments about scouse victim hood mentality are brought into the mainstream media reporting of this.
Bizarre to see Irish people bemoaning the outing of Tory led cover-ups of, among other things, murder, paedophilia and racism.
But theyâre âedgyâ
Liverpool fans are the ones engaging in a cover up.
Murderers.
You seem to struggle a little deciphering facts from opinion.
Liverpool fans are murderers. Fact.
I have never murdered anyone.
Heysel
Mikehunt fighting the good fight here.
Mike set the ball rolling here just because he wanted the fight.
That would be manslaughter, not murder.
