Putin is a law onto himself. He is many things but the one thing he is not is stupid. Fortunately/unfortunately his main interest is power, money self preservation.

For me, he saved hundreds of thousands of civilian lives in Syria, granted he is far from an angel but blocking the West from overthrowing a secular âdictatorâ from one of the biggest countries in the powder-keg which is the middle east is a good thing,
