Holidays in Ireland thread (Laois is for prisoners)

Tralee has the aqua dome for a rainy day and there is a water entertainment place next to it called the wetlands…

Charleville park. The missus and Madame went there a couple of years ago and Madame loved the kids club. FML

Up there with KP going to the spa Hotel in lucan

The difference being that KP was singing the praises of Lucan!

Lahinch itself is a far better course than President Trumps garden down the road. Easy enough get on the sister castle course which is a parkland.
Frawleys long gone I assume?

A hidden gem

Fermoyle and stradbally are two beautiful beaches

Like a couple of others I assumed it was a joke,
Enjoy Charleville mate, sure it’s only an hour from Cork :grinning:
Let me see, Donkey Sanctuary, Ballyhoura’s for mountain biking, Doneraile park is nice,

Charleville is grim though, but you can have a good time anywhere in Ireland, great people down there.

Can your kids swim @binkybarnes, Castlegregory is a good beach just over the mountain with really cool inflatables, inch isn’t great for kids to n my experience, Boolteens is an odd choice but it’s perfectly central in fairness

Pity the hotel in Rathkeale is shut, you could have done a night there as well.

She did suggest the arklah bay…

I did tell her there’s a reason these hotels have rooms

Charleville is one of those places you just want to drive through as quick as possible, but you can’t even do that because of the traffic and people backing out of the ridiculous parking spaces on the main street.

It was open last year

I’m looking to pick up a house somewhere coastal for 4 or 5 nights at any stage but I’d say the chances of getting anything that won’t break the bank are remote?

Which child aren’t you bringing? 4 or 5

*I’m having a bad day.

Inch beach is beautiful. If you come as far as castlegregory you might as well come to Brandon @binkybarnes

There’s one great pub in Charleville @artfoley Gearys. But if they aren’t allowed do live music or a dance floor etc I can’t imagine it’d be up to much. Other than that, there’s a reason we’ve been demanding a Charleville bypass for decades

Savage hotel and leisure club mate.

We got a place around Clonea strand for a week in august and it came in under 900,

If you want a five star hotel be prepared to pay 5 star prices
