Look around smithfield. Be on the luas line to the gig then and close to the city centre but not in the more expensive parts
I was looking at a hotel for a Friday night work visit recently on the Wednesday it was 300, it had dropped to 225 by Thursday afternoon
Edit: My theory on this is that they won’t drop the price until it’s past the cut off the free cancellations (e.g. 48hours before the weekend) so as to stop people who booked at higher prices cancelling and rebooking.
