Blues will take the house Reds for the Senate
That’s the general consensus of opinion at present. Mid terms are very difficult to predict as turnout is typically low and many independents don’t bother voting. The current poisonous climate will likely bring out a higher than normal vote. Democrats should pick up some house seats but maybe not as many as expected, while Republicans could extend their Senate majority as 26 of the 35 Senate seats up for grabs are in states that Trump won.
The Kavanaugh saga has definitely taken away some of the momentum Democrats had, and has fired up the Republican base and could drive some independents to vote Republican. The biggest problem the Democrats have is the nutcase wing of the party seem to be driving the bus.
The same could be said of the GOP and indeed a lot of countries these days.
Latest polls show Republicans now in with a fighting chance of retaining the House as well as the Senate.
Democrats have really shot themselves in the foot here, turning a lot of voters away with their disgusting character assassination of Brett Kavanaugh and loons like Maxine Waters and Eric Holder calling for their supporters to get in the faces of Republicans, resulting in assaults on two Republican candidates this week.
Senate probably to definitely House no chance won’t be a wave but I will be v surprised if the Dems don’t have at least a 15-20 seat majority
