Hungover in work

Shur he didn even go to the match

Had a nice few pints on Friday, went on the absolute lash on Saturday and opened my first bottle around 1 o’clock yesterday and supped away for the day-probably had 10 bottles in total. I am genuinely terrified when there is a knock on my office door and I just made a complete fool of myself about 20 minutes ago whilst being introduced to a new work colleague. Roll on 5:30.

Signing in. Be some hiding done today.

Yeah right, like you have an office.

That’s what I call the cubicle in the bathroom.

Drank fuck all yesterday, due to a combination of over indulgence on Friday and Saturday and the farcical situation in the Ardhu before and after the match.

I am absolutely wrecked today though after a serious dose of the fear last night which left me with about 4 hours sleep

There’s absolutely no excuse for sporting event celebrations to impinge onto your working day. Totally unprofessional to over-indulge last night if you’re working today.

Fortunately the devious sponsorship of sporting events by alcohol pushing companies will be ended shortly and these misled unfortunates will not be as easily duped into associating sporting events with the hints in the future.

I brought a hipflask in today and am half-way through it. If that means I have a problem with alcohol then I don’t give a shit.

[insert]cliched reference to civil service which is in fact spot on[/insert]

The work is getting done. That’s the main thing. Sans hipflask I’d be hiding in the toilets.

Fuck it, the oul lad tells me most of the work back in the 70s got done from a nearby bar.

Its all perception Thrawneen.

It you don’t perceive you have a problem then there is no problem.

This is the worst I’ve been in a few years I’d say. I wouldn’t mind but I have a mountain of work to do and I can’t face it at all.

:pint:

Unlike Horsebox, I perceive my boss to be a friendly pink elephant and our meeting went swimmingly this morning. I’m now haring away doing admin. All thanks to nature’s little helper that is hard alcohol.
