A good dose of roundup should get rid of it.

Nothing to see here pal. This sort of stuff goes on at every mart, kind of an underground Pamplona type buzz… Lovely edge to it.

Autumn is in lads…

I had a feed of them on a walk last Sunday. The youngest lad couldn’t get enough of them. The girl meanwhile was picking everything she could get her hands on. Just caught her about to eat a sloe. She thought it was a blueberry.

I had a feed of them today as well. Couldn’t stop the kids eating them either. Lovely time of year all the same, bit of dew on the grass this morning too. Must bring them down to look for a few hazel nuts tomorrow.

You’re about to introduce your children to the dreaded hives.

My young lad is covered in hives since. What causes that ? I can’t eat the plums we grow anymore over them

Too much protein in the hazel nuts. Does the young lad look like this?

Sloe gin. Day one.

I’ve never tasted it, how is it for a finish?

This is a bottle I have in the press since last year.

Makes the gin dry and fruity.

What kind of gin did you use?

Lidl gin.

So just the cheapest you could find? It may have been mentioned before but the boyles stuff from Aldi is lovely stuff.

Yep. You’re infusing it with with sugar and berries for a year.

Cork Dry is grand for sloe gin . Excellent in fact .
