I paid a ridiculous amount for store bullocks in the autumn…probably averaging 2k for 450 kg. Would i be in trouble?

Also exports are a huge part of the market not domestic. So being in competition in the EU will be an issue there’s no point pretending otherwise

I paid nothing.

The two boys are thriving. 5 months old next week.

You’ll be sound scan.!

The hypocrisy of the whole thing is comical. I spent a day getting paperwork lined up for the Bordbia auditor there in mid December… medicine purchase records, administration records, spraying details etc… then spend half a day with the auditor walking around checking the sheds, cattle etc… Yet my outputs is now pretty much entering the same market as the South American stuff.

Unless, Bordbia can get off her holes and differentiate our beef from the South American stuff but then we can’t be hypocritical either about our inputs (GM Soy)

Organic might be the sweet spot and target our beef at the high end of the market but it’s a poorly developed market and needs the likes of Bordbia to push it.

Was talking to lads who were out with the hunt Stephens Day. Said they got no proper hunt cause there was too many foxes.

Tasmanian commercial fishers warned about potential antibiotic contamination from salmon pens - ABC News

Another story as old as time. They were fucking barrel fulls of malachite green into the cages in the west 30 years ago. I watched them do it. I would never let the kids eat farmed fish.

I see at least two foxes, sometimes three, at various times most evenings here. One bould bastard is about the place the whole time, an absolute beast, bold as brass and very impressive up close.

More badgers about too, seeing them earlier in the evening than ever before.

Numbers got a bounce in COVID and it’s them that are coming into adulthood now that we’re seeing I suppose.

I had two separate vans up my way since Christmas lamping. They’re cleaning up.
