Hurleyassico - Tipp v Galway 2020

Who would the winner of Galway Vs Clare or Galway Vs tipp play in the semi? The Munster champions, or open draw?

Galway v Clare winners would play Munster champions if Galway, if Clare open draw if Munster runners up still involved.
If Galway v Tipp, then Tipp wouldn’t mind who we face

Rule is just avoidance of repeat pairings where possible as far as I know. I didn’t think there was any consideration of when teams played each other this year.

If Limerick win they can draw Tipp or Clare

I love to see Tipp v Waterford. I’d say Cahill would be mad to get one over the Sheedys. There could be a lovely bit of needle on the sideline.

Happened in 2018. Cork beat Clare in the Munster final. Clare won the quarter which meant Cork had to play Limerick in the semi

People seem to be writing off Clare too easily . I could easily see them win a quarter final. The one thing that might go against them is the three weeks on the trot.

Might go for them. They’ve improved game on game. You’d not out the house against them beating anyone.

It’ll be a tasty tie

It’s the biggest game in the history of hurling

Some great games between the two -10,15,16,17. All separated by a point. 2014 not a bad game until Galway forgot to hurl for the last 20 minutes

The whole year has been leading up to this moment

The game will be won and lost on the INTERNET

The private groups will be hopping

You have to say it is one of the biggest games in the history of internet discussion

The busted flushes thread will be hopping within 30 seconds of full time, irrespective of who wins.

10 wasn’t a bad game til fat Eoin Kelly fouled Ollie canning who had been making a show of him yet again, before the throw in went directly to that simpleton Corbett for the winner.

16 wasn’t bad until touhy who was having his best ever game was taken out off the ball which decided it.

Tough one to call. Galway off a loss, they looked very good against Wexford but Wexford have since proven to be very poor.
Tipp stuttering along but I think they finished with a better team than they started with the last day and they are improving.
I’d give Galway a narrow nod on the basis that they’ll match Tipp for physicality and have a nice spread of potential scorers but you’d prefer to be coming in off a win than a loss
