Is the draw 7.30am in the morning?

8:30 but if Limerick lose I don’t think it’s a draw. Would be Galway v Tipp and Clare v Limerick.

As both Clare and Tipp have both played Limerick already they revert to whichever team plays them earliest in the championship.

Wouldn’t be the worst draw for Clare… They’ve rebounded well and would relish a free shot off Limerick again…all the pressure and expectation would be on Limerick and rightly so. We all know Clare ain’t gonna win it this year but with all the upheaval Lohan has had this year, a QF, albeit not beating much to get there, is still a decent return for him and he’s gotten to see a few lads in knockout. Obviously Limerick would be huge favourites but if you don’t turn up you’ll be beaten at this level.

The reason Kilkenny will never be liked

This fixture rarely disappoints.

Is that the case? I’d have thought that if Limerick lose it would be an open draw and we could play either Tipp or Clare.

That was what used to happen under the old system before the round robin so expect it is what will happen in this instance

Did it? I know they avoid repeat fixtures where possible and avoid repeats of provincial finals in all ireland semi finals, but I don’t think they stage that you played a team previously had any bearing on a draw, if you have played both teams. I could be wrong though

Right here we go again.

The Munster and leinster losers are kept apart.
If Waterford lose, they can draw either Tipp or Clare as they have not yet met. Ditto Galway. Ergo an open draw.
If Limerick lose they will play Clare as they met Tipp at a later stage in the championship.

If Waterford lose and win the quarter, they will play Kilkenny and Limerick will play the winners of Tipp and Galway.
If Limerick lose and win their quarter, they will play Kilkenny.

Where does it say that Mike, where they will meet Clare as they met them at an earlier stage in the championship?

Double pairings are to be avoided but in the event where teams have already met on the provincial championship, the pairings revert back to the earliest part of the championship. As Limerick met Clare in the Munster quarter final and Tipp in the semi, it will a Limerick v Clare quarter if Limerick lose today.

Can Galway only get tipp then?

Not if Limerick lose today.

Of course not, they could get Clare
