I think Runt is taking the piss in fairness, although i did consider Hickey, midfield is lowish on standouts this year.
O’ Neill was absolutely immense this year MBB, Cork were useless, but he was unreal. To be perfectly honest i wouldn’t have considered any Corkman had this been done last week, but over the weekend i heard a debate on the radio and i think a couple of guys mentioned O’ Neill, i think it could have been Dathi O’ Reagan who said he HAS to get one. It reminded me of him, he was brilliant.
Canning was poor against Waterford and Killkenny i thought, wouldn’t go for him. It was Mick Kavanagh i’d go for ahead of O’ Neill if anyone.
What are you basing that on? He played 3 games, one less than say KK, and he was Corks best player in each. Could have got MOTM in one i think.
Look i’d have no problem at all with Tyrell, Kavanagh or Stapleton to be fair, but O’ Neill did have a stand out season for himself. Canning no way though.
Been a good year for corner men now that i think of it.

Because no one will remember those 3 games come the time to pick, well perhaps Daithi Regan, but then again, he’s Daithi Regan. Also I’d be shocked, utterly shocked, if a Cork hurler gets an All Star this year, unless of course Tom Humphries is picking it, then expect there to be more Cork winners than nominees.

Tyrrell will get it.[/quote]
Just as well your not picking it so? No body will remember those games? WTF. Its not the league we are talking about, 2 games in particular stand out, Cork v. Tipp and Cork v. Galway, i think they’ll take those in.
You don’t rate Reagan. I think he’s a brilliant analyst, striaght talking, knows the game inside out and analysises play and tactics better than most.
I’d have Tyrell behind Stapleton and Kavanagh. Thought this was Kavanghs best year for while
