Hurling Championship 2020 - The Year Limerick Blitzed

Tbf if he was carrying 2016 form along with him now Waterford would be unbackable favs in the final.

That’s the reality of it, the Leinster Final win was more than they could’ve expected this year.

He could. Or he could do sweet fuck all :joy:

He’s gradually improving to be fair to him.

Liam Cahill must be some operator lads.

An awful pity there wasn’t 40k Waterford lads in Croke Park for that. A performance for the ages.

plus a battling display against a cobbled-together Antrim team in an U21 semi final.

Maybe why they gave a performance of the ages

He needs to finally grow up and become a team player. Bennett has completely overtaken him as a leader on that team.

It’s up to limerick to save the big fours blushes now and keep the upstarts down

Aussie s point there in the second half was as good a score as you’ll ever see.
Waterford are unbelievably skilful

They were in a final only 3 years ago. He had the raw materials there

He just did

They hadn’t won a championship game in two years

That was tremendous. Truth be told Waterford were about 8 or 9 pts better but a mixture of Waterford mistakes and Kk doggedness kept it tight. Kevin Moran cost Waterford about 4 points trying to catch ball he should have been batting. Pruntydid the same thing for the first goal.

But Waterford are a sight to behold in full flight. Austin Gleeson mixed the sublime with the ridiculous. Jamie Barron is like a magnet to the ball. I’m delighted to see Stephen Bennett fulfil his huge potential.

Bennett shouldering the responsibilty could allow Gleeson the freedom to be the maverick he was born to be.

After that, ‘tis poor crayturs looking at owl soccer matches I feel sorry for.
