There were 7 starters today starting their first or second Championship game but it’s not like they’re young either. Quilligan is 26, Flanagan is 28, OHalloran is 28, Guilfoyle is 23, Taylor is 25. McCarthy is the only one under 23. It says a lot that they aren’t good enough until now, the players that have left just haven’t been replaced at all. The last few minor teams have produced a few decent players like Rogers, Donnellan and Galvin who look like they will be good enough but I’d be very worried about the next few years to be honest.
