Hurling League 2014

Are Clare training tonight after training this morning?

Couple that with a couple of immesnse saves from Touhy and we could have been beaten by 6 clear goals

Tipp deserved winners. Don’t know why David Mc was persisted with, he was poor all game. Podge, Conlon and McGrath were lively but we look off the pace. Some terrible shooting from us and Tipp far sharper to the breaks.

Made no difference as Tipp were the better side but though Colm Lyons was poor, very inconsistent and Tipp seemed to get benefit of the doubt from him throughout

Tipp v Kk final now , who would have thought it before Tipp played the Dubs …

How do you mean?

Nice to get the win but lets not get carried away. Clare are a poor side who produced 2-3 decent performances last year against other average sides and won the softest AI in history. Fair play to them for taking their chance but they are just not able to mix it with the big boys just yet.

3rd poor performance on the trot , Galway should have beaten us, Laois could have and hammered by Tipp shouldn’t have come as a surprise , doesn’t look good at present no hiding away from that at all

Now the Drugs don’t work

They just make you worse

Callinan once again proving why he is the best forward in the country:clap:[/QUOTE]
o_O:rolleyes:

Clare might be better off with out a game with Kilkenny if Davy does not go over mad on the training.

It’s high time referees started penalising Kilkenny for illegal popped “handpasses” that don’t have a proper striking motion with the palm. These are thrown passes in tight spaces to runners on the burst that usually result in scores. They constantly get away with it.

When was the last time Tipp won a championship game?

As far as I can see only a couple of positives can be taken from today,
-Conor Ryan hitting a bit of form.
-This should quell a lot of the back clapping that is going around from the general public.

Jack Brown will have learned a lot from today, not ready yet but has potential.
Bugler has played horrendously so far this year, the odd catch doesn’t make a performance.
Not sure what to make of Dillon today. Exposed a bit but could have done better.
Tony Kelly isn’t playing well at all for club or county.
Cathal McInerney was harshly taken off. Hardly his fault he got bad service but still scored 1-1.
Colin Ryan can be very ponderous on the ball, was not up to the standard today from play or frees.

The referee was very poor towards us I thought, some very poor calls were made at different times.
The tipp full back line played the hurley a lot too very cutely.
Someone had them very well prepared for this game, I just don’t think it was O’Shea.

2012.

I thought that Browne lad was actually decent, maybe not tight enough for corner back. Michael Ryan seemed more in charge than O Shea on the line today

He hit it well. His free taking has been good. He was very by good all afternoon. I thought the Galway lads did us proud. A few 50:50 things went kk way but overall they were worth the win. Galway did not buckle when they could have and were in the hunt right up until the end. Really gutsy performance.

Seamus Callinan a joy to watch at the moment. Very tame performance from Clare. A lot of lads well off the pace. Places up for grabs if Fitzgerald is picking on form.

Browne did alright I thought. Probably needs to get a bit stronger but he has all the right instincts and a great attitude as well. Bugler not playing too well at all, but Pat Donnellan was a liability inside our own '45 today.

Wouldn’t read anything much into either match today really. They were both poor games. Galway are an especially frustrating team to watch. A lot of good players but they play a dreadful game for the most part. The amount of aimless ball they hit is shocking.

well look at you all hurling talk and not trying to falsely accuse decent men of being child molesters. Well done cunt bag for growing up.

Clare gave up 2 21m frees and a penalty today. Nobody was killed either.

Following on from All Ireland Finals last year no wonder Davy is very health and safety focused as that full back line is dodgy. Without a sweeper teams can run through them.

Tipp seemed to play a sweeper or dropped a player under puck outs. They won a huge amount of breaking ball and most 50/50s.

They’re well coached to give the 21 yard free rather than allow a goal chance.

Bullshit. They nearly cost themselves an all ireland last year against a vastly inferior team giving away countless unnecessary frees near the goal as well as conceding soft goals. They were at it again today. Their first instinct is to foul. If their defenders stop fouling and tackle properly they’d be some team.
