that may well be the case. it wouldnt be the first time the GAA had the basis of a good initiative for a rule change and then make a complete fucking balls of it.
Liam Watson is rumoured to be heading to Dublin. He’s not doing much to dispel the rumours on twitter either but its hard to know what to make of that. He’s had quite a turbulent time with Antrim GAA to say the least, be quite the capture for Dublin you’d imagine.
I doubt he’s the fastest dog in the pack. He turned 30 last year, a roll of a dice by both him and Daly. @Sidney will be seething at another Seanie situation emerging in the GAA.
Tipp one change only. Paddy Stapleton named left half back. Any chance of him starting there. Tipp in a nice position going into this. They’ve nothing to lose really and will fancy themselves to beat what will probably be the weakest Kilkenny lineout they’ve faced in league or championship for a few years.
Eamon O’Shea is telling any journalist who will listen that he has eyes for the championship only. Looking at the team named its hard to argue with his recent statements. Woodlock & Bergin at wing forward is not to my liking. Paddy Murphy at full forward is not a viable option going forward. I do welcome Conor O’Brien getting a go at midfield as i think its his most natural position. Jason Forde needs to start making an impression too at this stage.
Kilkenny were actually impressive enough last weekend i thought considering the players they were missing, going to Nolan Park & beating them will be a big ask .

Kilkenny were better than I expected alright but it is still a relatively poor lineout. As has been mentioned, it is strange seeing 3 cackhanded forwards on a Kilkenny team. Bad reflection on the underage coaching. It’s a shame that the most impressive new lads seem to be defenders. Kennedy from Ballyragget is a classy hurler. He’s very light though. Hopefully he’ll fill out a bit. We badly need a pacy new forward or two.
Willie and Darren Maher might start but unsure of the rest. Cheddar runs a tight ship, he’s also banned us from saying too much on the Internet as well.
Massive upset unlikely, a mild one quite possible.

Enough said.
Very weak team. Cork by 20+.
You’ll back that up with a few quid Shirley?
I’d be very afraid of those Cork forwards, I think we’ll get change out of the backs, but our midfield is raw still at this level and the element of surprise is gone. Respectable performance, more reasonably sized fish to fry in our own stream this year.
