Hurling League 2014

Yeah it’s a serious gale alright. Cheddar won’t be unhappy with the gap and will be delighted with the workrate.
Question now is, what do they do with it at their back. Stay with the short game or start dropping bombs.

Be happy from Lmk point of view if Laois can stay within 10 pts now.

Its a fucking gale but we needed it in the first I fear. I’d go long to Foyle, he’s winning a lot even against the wind but I don’t see Chedddar changing it much. Our season wont be defined by tonight unless we get hockeyed and he won’t risk that. Penalty miss huge unfortunately.

Did McCarthy save it or was it blasted over the bar etc?

Saved

Willie Hyland on, wins a free which is put wide.

Score?

Laois 0-5 Cork 0-12

12-5
And Laois have just missed a great goal chance.

Laois 0-6 Cork 0-12

13 minutes left plus a random amount of injury time

Laois keeper just pucked ball wide from own puck out.

this young lad Michael cahalane coming on now supposed to be one to watch for Cork this year.

Watching games like this hurling should really only be played April to September.

I’ve done that a fair few times over the last couple of years.

0-14 to 0-07, time nearly up.

Cunts nearly got a goal at the finish,no bit of intention to win from Laois who played in damage limitation mode even with gale behind them.

All over, 14-7.

Laois will give us a very tough game in a few weeks, will need a few bodies back for that one. Judging by the sounds of it they could have scored a couple of goals tonight and been even closer between the missed penalty and other chances.

We were not impressive against Antrim last year, need to win tomorrow and ideally put up a decent score.

I will cut you

I think the Laois lad put it wide of the other goal though.
