Generally for the top scorer market you want someone who’ll lose a Munster semi final or preliminary round because they’ll have two or three hand qualifier games against the likes of Antrim/Carlow or Laois before things get competitive again at the quarter final stage.

Has anyone priced up the top scorer market yet? Patrick Horgan has to be an appealing price on that basis unless he’s ridiculously short. Harnedy and Horgan are massive prices for HOTY too. I’ll let CLD do his analysis before deciding anything.

Cork play first Championship game 24 May which is 3 weeks after league final. Seems a bit of a distraction if you get to a league final. Better to get a performance in QF and then go out in Semi Final? Galway play championship start of June. Maybe different for Clare, KK, Tipp who don’t play until mid June.

Richie is 12s second favourite and ergo not a value proposition in my view. Fennelly is 28s.

What makes anyone think he will get the necessary consistency? That’s been a major failing of his since the year dot.
Danny sutcliffe for me. He won’t miss a minute and if the dubs do anything it will be because of him.
Conor McGrath is worth a few quid as well.

McGrath is 16/1. PoC is 125/1.

Patch is very unlikely to be in the reckoning as he doesn’t perform well enough in the highlights/fist-pumping category. If we win the All Ireland McGrath will be there or thereabouts though. Conlon is 80/1, not something you could have imagined a couple of years ago.

You don’t really need consistency, just two big games at the end of the season.
