The poor mouth thing is as stale as it gets, particularly sickening from Galway who won last year with a formidable team.

I am quite confident in galway again this year. I’m delighted with them. Not saying theyll win It, But They’ll be a right fucking handful for anyone.

Wexford are quite an interesting team tactically. They seem to be a lot more intelligent on the ball than the other teams that have played with sweepers in recent years

They have a hurling genius like bandage to orchestrate things if they don’t go initially to plan. Theyre 80% there already.

They’ve moved Wexford-Kilkenny to 2pm on Sunday so TG4 can show it before the Dublin-Galway football final at 4pm. Presume the division 2 football final is delayed as there’s some final round fixtures to be played, but maybe it’s unrelated?

Tipp-Limerick at 7pm on Saturday night in Thurles after the All Ireland senior colleges final at 5pm.

Edit: Division 2 football final on Sunday at 2pm too. The hurling might be on eir sport actually?

I guess they’ll be working on playing the ball through hands, using the wings, getting overlaps and directly running at us, hitting diagonal ball away from sweeper and all that kind of shite next week. We can play a few variations of the extra defender but I don’t think we’d abandon it totally so we’ll need to hit them hard coming out with the ball to prevent them getting into a rhythm, a huge work rate from the forwards and the likes of Jack O’Connor, Aidan Nolan and Chin putting in tackles in the middle third.
