Clare fairly opened Kilkenny up for the first 25 minutes. Cody emptied the bench and they rallied a bit with the help of James McGrath before Clare fired over 4 points in injury time before half time to push it back out to 8 points.
Christ, we’re still no closer to sorting out a free taker. Aside from missing three frees (one after the referee didn’t play the 5 second advantage and blew back a point), Chin has given an exhibition. The running / carrying game against the breeze drives some of the home crowd demented. Let’s see if we can knock over some scores from distance in the second half.
