Who are the longest serving side in 1B?
Looking forward to seeing how Wexford get on tomorrow. I’m also interested to see if we continue to evolve from last year. Last 3 games against Dublin, Kilkenny (both Walsh Cup) and Waterford we haven’t completely replicated the deep spare defender / sweeper like last year when Shaun Murphy was stationed back alongside the full back line. We’ve had the extra body in the middle third and flooded that area for large parts of all those games. Tried to monopolise possession and take on shots from out the field.
Worked well last week in the first half in Waterford apparently but not so much in the first half away to Dublin and Kilkenny. Might not be wise to leave Harnedy, Cadogan and Horgan 1 v 1 though, but we’ll see how we go. It’d be nice if we built on last week’s accurate shooting from distance and free taking.
Cork look quite strong from 8-15 but I think we’re capable of hurting their defence. I’m looking forward to welcoming the great John Meyler back to Wexford Park too.
