Hurling Qualifiers 11th July Semple Stadium

I thought McCallister wasn’t great, but he was consistent. He let a lot go, and blew up more for over carrying than for fouling in the tackle.

Pal, I respect your views on hurling but McAllister was desperately poor yesterday - ok I had green tinted specs on but he gave us nothing. A ref having a shocker and merely pointing that out is not a heinous crime.

We didn’t deserve to win the game so not apportioning the defeat on him but he was brutal.

Ryan was brilliant for the Dubs but he is a very one sided hurler. We continually allowed him strike off his left rather than shepherd him on to his right. Basic analysis of other teams to pinpoint their best forwards and negate them. By and large we did that with Schutte.

I certainly wouldn’t be blaming him for our loss and as you say he was fairly consistent in his non application of the rules. I thought missing the holding of hannons hurley for the goal chance was shocking though.

I for one can’t wait until next June when people start thinking Clare will win the All Ireland after getting beaten in the Munster Championship again

Given Clare’s physical profile upfront they need something more than direct ball to a two man full-forward line as a means of creating chances. Davy seems to have recognised that on some level, and has responded by having Conor McGrath play 70 yards out the field, having potshots for points.

Alan O Connor football and Brian Murphy hurling are playing well without a season or two of all thIs S & C Kev!

If Cork training is of Junior C standard, they have no sliotars, no grub after and poor S & C as you have been saying how come they have 2 wins under their belt in recent weeks and got to the league final?

Now now classless Harry, you have made an absolute show of yourself over the past few days.

Showed you up as an especially bitter creature.

Typical old school pub talk, you’re an awful fucking eejit.

S&C is primarily about injury prevention. The hurlers have faile miserably there. Also the hurlers are talented despite what many like to say. Just because they didn’t win minor and u21 is irrelevant.

I never questioned the footballers S&C this year. Last year there was dft things done.

Brian Murphy surprised me, no doubt about it, however he did struggle early on and is back for 8 weeks now. About the same time a boxer takes to get ready for a world title fight. However the injury crisis can’t be ignored.

Alan O Connor has always looked after himself immaculately, retired too young anyway and was a leading player in senior championship this year and last year anyway. It’s not like he retired. He would have got a great education from Aidan O’ Connell in S&C over the years.

I was right behind that, a lovely all round score.

Best bit of skill I saw yesterday was by one of the Dublin subs.

He was warming up and a bit of chewy gum fell out of his mouth before it hit the ground he volleyed it up in the air with his boot and back into his mouth. Unbelievable tekkers

He was delighted with himself

That Daire Plunkett chap is one of the fastest hurlers in the world.

Delighted for Bill Cooper yesterday. Immense.

Fuck back to Monaghan you cunt.

the fastest since Cathal Naughton?!

you stupid cunt…

He’s incredibly quick. Remember him from their Under 21 side in 2011 or 2012 and it surprised me he hasn’t properly nailed down a senior team spot before now. Paul Ryan is very streaky but that was some display of shooting on Saturday night.

Gas that Dublin filthy fucker is from tipp.
