Hurling Qualifiers, July 4th

Colm Galvin on for Clare

Offaly have gone away.

4th wide

Jacob going for a selfish point from a selfish angle misses, selfishly.

That sums up the Wexford performance there by Jacob. 8 points down, a minute left, go for a point and hit it wide. Baffling.

Real clever stuff there. You need a goal to have any chance. You go for a point and hit it high and wide.

Dunne is done.

Dublin goal. Dotsy.

Dublin 4-16 Laois 0-19.

FT in Ennis
3-26 to 0-15

The ref

Dublin 4-16 Laois 0-20 FT

Correction: 4-17 to 0-19 was the final score in the Dublin-Laois match.

Time to put Kilkenny into Conancht for a one on one provincial final with Galway once a year. The rest of Leinster could mulloch away for the O’Keefe Cup.

Galway and KK into Munster mate.

The hurling championship has been fucking shocking this year so far.

I’d be tipping Clare and Limerick to come through next weeks matches irrespective of the pairings although a Limerick-Cork tie would be close. Dublin are the long straw. 4-17 isn’t really that impressive and they went nearly 20 minutes without a score in the second half. Cork went over 20 minutes without a score.

Munster hurling.

time to disband the Leinster championship, bring Kilkenny into Munster, we can’t have the likes of Ofally and Wexford in the competition any longer

Limerick can’t play Clare, no?

Decision to play against the wind looking all the more baffling.
