Anybody watch this after the Munster Final?
Who said RTE can’t do comedy? It was another cracking production from the team.
It made absolutely no sense whatsover to have the draw the week before the qualifier groups are decided.
There was one quality part where Marty Morrissey goes:
‘And Rory (the Guinness rep) can now reveal who’ll be facing Kilkenny…’
Rory proceeds to hold up the card - Group 1A Runners-Up - and then Marty’s there:
‘And that could be Galway, Antrim or Clare. We’ll find out next week when the final round of qualifier games will be played.’
Then they do a recap of the draw at the end and Marty’s going:
‘There’s some really interesting ties here - most of them are really difficult to call’
And we’re there looking at a screen showing:
Waterford vs 1B Runners-Up
Kilkenny vs 1A Runners-Up
Wexford vs 1B Winners
Limerick vs 1A Winners
You couldn’t possibly make it up.
