The lead up to a storm is weird… The silence is really eerie as all the wildlife/birds are no where to be seen/heard. I remember walking to the local convenience store a few hours before the storm was due to land and with no cars on the road it was strangely silent… It was like I was the only being on the planet.

Barbuda a small island of 2,000 people that was one of the first to get hit has been levelled. Not a peep out of the place for hours after the storm passed through but the PM of Antigua has announced that 90% of the buildings on the island are “totally demolished”
