I would like to get a pup. I’ve checked the internet and it’s all cash. I don’t want to pay for one. I’m looking for a small mongrel dog. There was a time when getting a mongrel pup was no problem, now you have spend 100’s of euros for one.
I’m not interested in a pedigree dog. Any pointers(not dogs) here would be well appreciated. Limerick region, but I will travel if I need to.

I have already. They are closed because of the virus. They’ve a facebook page now. You’ve to keep a lookout on their page for any dogs they have for rehousing. I’ve been on the lookout but rarely a dog pops up and if one does it’s snapped up before I get a chance.
Just wrap a cable tie around your gate tonight and when you wake up in the morning you’ll have a dog.

The plastic tie is old now, its all about letting off fireworks in the middle of the day to let folks know you are looking for a dog and one will be in your garden tomorrow.
Is there such thing as a mongrel dog now or are have they been all reclassified as “designer dogs”?

Genetically diverse
The lady owners of these genetically diverse dog that paid a small fortune for get very upset when you say that the dog is a mongrel that few years ago you could have got for free before someone put a posh label on them. 
I wont be making that mistake again.
