Unfortunately I can remember drinking draught pints of cider for £1.01 on FCA camp in Waterford.
It’s like St Peters Basilica
Out collecting intel on the comings and goings of Aoife McGregor, Bangers and Gerry Vegas.
We went to be Camp Frostbite in Crosshaven with the Slua in 1983. The pints had gone up to 1.10, so the local publicans were selling half litres for 99 pence.
A short-term craze that lasted what - a fleeting summer. The early 80’s were a grim time in every sense.
No more than one summer. I’m sure many of the publicans repurposed the half litre glasses as pint glasses to unwitting customers
They were shafted by the long neck bottles soon after. They almost convinced us that we loved them.
Christ pints of shaving foam
More head than a brazzer shop
I hope tis Urquell at least
‘Twas indeed
Nom nom
Long day for you
Couple of grand sleeps on the plane.
A good cold pint by the looks of it.
Cold but not too cold.
