The chap in the two photos looks more pleased in the second shot where he has a pint in front of him instead of a water

He is living in Tuam at the minute. So pints were on when we got back there.

Was never in Tuam before. Some nice pubs in it.

Twas a great town on Connacht final day.

The car parked up and he was ready for a few sups!

Grand looking pubs and pints.

So my friend was saying.

They should split the football and hurling HQ’s back up. Football back to tuam, hurling to oranmore or bsloe. Sell the wind tunnel.

From the conversation in Gort, it seems an awful lot of good pubs in the town closed down in recent years. Gort looks a bit rundown but still likeable.

Very charitable.

Loughgeorge?

Somewhere with a town with a few pubs and cafes and latte shops and a potential match day atmosphere.

I mean, is Loughgeorge a wind tunnel?

No, pearse. A stadium designed by the Soviet Union in 1960

I am, by nature, most charitable.

Ah yes. And all too true. I was taken to see Pearse Stadium.

Was also taken to see various club pitches: Ardrahan, Carnmore, Claregalway, Corofin, Gort, Kilbeacanty, Turloughmore, Tuam (and also Loughgeorge Centre).

Two interesting snippets:

– Gort’s new set up (on old golf course) might be in Beagh Parish.

– Claregalway’s new pitches are seemingly in Turloughmore Parish.
