Wonderful. Great memories of Celtic Tiger Monday clubs. An institution.

Did you ever partake in any on Glebe Street Mohill back in the day?

A member of a well known drinking family was taken into custody for some diesel stealing after the guards turned up at one of the pubs years back. It was a Monday and the guards didn’t even try his house.

I can’t actually recall an extended Monday in Mohill, possibly the odd swift one if getting stuff in Reynolds’s hardware but generally we’d avoid the townie types that patronised the Glebe St premises on a Monday evening.

Keshcarrigan, on the other hand, could be full-on, Kathleen rattling out scorched burgers and Dessie holding court as anyone with an accordeon ground out a few choons….Foley in his absolute element…… :pint: :pint:

Fenagh had a few epic years between 03/08 as tradesmen traversed the county. Twas a super meeting point for lads from 4/5 surrounding parishes.
There were more GAA experts to be found on a Monday than in any other county.

Would you believe - I never stood inside Gertie’s.

The Kesh boom was before my time and the auld fella was a strictly McKeons man.

Front snug, Slattery’s, Rathmines.

Yes…

Obviously the case. But…

Great drink.

First had a drink there in 1986.

It looks photoshopped for some reason

On a first glance that looks like Simon Delaney.

Nope. A friend of mine from Kildare.

Yes. But I wish they had not ‘done up’ the main bar. Varnish is homogenizing…
