I won't be able to drink to spread covid

Few of the pubs in south Kilkenny and Waterford city stock it, Iā€™ve rarely seen it anywhere else. Didnā€™t know if was made up that way.

Norrisā€™s corner. Great pub. Used to be where the punks would hang out in Waterford. Powery went out with the owners daughter.

Google tells me itā€™s actually brewed in St James Gate now after the brewery closed in 2001 in Dundalk

Sure itā€™s the same as a bottle of Smithwicks. Just a different label.

Yeah same tack, donā€™t drink it myself but I know a few fellas who would if they were out for the day and maintain itā€™s easy enough to tip away at

Maybe Howleys?

Itā€™s the ample stocks of Dannos (large bottles of Guinness) that caught my eye. Oh Yes !!!

Dannos? Is that a Leitrim thing or am I leading a sheltered existence?

Fellas from outside the greater Waterford region think we call the large bottles Dannos. Best to humor them

Might have been. This would have been early 90s I reckon. Is Comerfords still there? My parents were down there three weeks back for a funeral actually

You bollocks

Comerfords is still there I think but if I remember correctly that has a Guinness sign outside the door

Youā€™re having a grand say of it @Thornhill

Superb clarification. Iā€™d murder a few now if I had them handy.

A grand old day spent floating around. The wheels came off my drinking partners wagon around half way through the game. He organised his lack to collect him so I had a lift home just after 10. Itā€™s a fantastic morning down here now so I am up and about to head for Tramore for a walk with the girls (two Yorkies).
