Saw them open for Wilco about 10 or 11 years ago. Around the time of Heaven, if I’m not mistaken.

The Rat is a great tune which I’d imagine is brilliant live.

It sure is, but in all honesty there’s a little something missing from The Walkmen. It’s difficult to put your finger on it, but they lack that spark that made some of their peers that bit more successful than them.

Vodka water, only 36 calories and no craic

That in NY?

For what it is worth, I agree with that assessment. While I enjoyed the gig well enough, I felt the absence of what you deem “that spark”.

But, a decent night out. The two friends with whom I went are much keener on The Walkmen than I am.

Heard from another friend that Future Islands were great last night. He went with his 17yo son.
